The guests who attended were Bill & Marie Jenkinson, leading authority on Babe and baseball. Mike Mauro, Joe Spacacio also historians. The Negro Leaguers, Jim Robinson, Pedro Seirra, and Bob Scott came to honor my grandfather. The Latin community were present in the famous artists, Robert Castillo, James Hoston, who did beautiful art pieces. Producer George Alverio and director Byron Hunter of "Universal Babe" showed up. The famous artist Palmer Murphy who has done Babe for many years and has designed a statue to be built in NYC. John Pennisi another great illustrator. Representatives from NYU were there to talk about the incredible Babe. All walks of life coming together to honor a great man on his 114th birthday.
A great time was had by all! The party was in the true spirit of my grandfather. After 60 years that he has passed he is still bringing people together.You will hear on the interview that we were all there for the same reason, to honor a man that we keep in our hearts everyday! We had a lot of laughter and fun...would my grandfather want it any other way? A great day, for a great man with great people!
The youth were represented. Brian Domenico and his fiance Kathi from the Power Showcase Home Run Derby in Florida. It promotes anti drug enhancement competitions among high school ballplayers throughout the US and 10 countries!
