The Babe and Surfing

Apparently Babe Ruth was interested in other sports besides the game of baseball. History tells us that in 1934, during a visit to Hawaii, the sultan of swat met up with then surfing legend, Duke Kahanamoku. Even better, the event was captured in a photograph by Eugene Surdez, who, at the time, was only 19 years of age. Although no longer with us, The Wall Street Journal recently met up with Eugene's grandson, who inherited the legendary photograph. Currently, Eugene's grandson, Paul Surdez, is attempting to appraise the item along with another famous Babe Ruth artifact his grandfather left behind. Find out more here
