States to Commemorate 'Babe Ruth Day'

Sixty years ago- August 16, 1948- the world lost the largest legend in baseball, George Herman "Babe" Ruth. Linda Ruth Tosetti, the granddaughter of Babe Ruth and Ruth Family representative has announced that a Mass to celebrate the anniversary of Babe Ruth's death will be held at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City on Saturday, September 6, 2008. Reverend Monsignor Robert T. Ritchie, Rector of St. Patrick's Cathedral will be the Celebrant. Music will be under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Pascual. World renowned tenor, Ronan Tynan, will sing at the Mass. Mass will begin at 5:30 p.m.
