Support Gathering to Retire Babe's Number

Attempting to further honor her grandfather's legacy, Linda Ruth Tosetti, Babe's granddaughter is campaigning furiously to have the number 3 retired throughout Major Leauge Baseball. The descendant of Babe's claims it would only be fitting for a man who may have single handedly saved the game of baseball. However, MLB officials are at a stand still in terms of a decision. As of right now, the only number ever retired was that of Jackie Robinson's. Breaking the color barrier in baseball, Robinson's contribution is unparalleled. Still, Ruth's granddaughter feels the Sultan of Swat deserves the same recognition and has already created a petition, gathering over six thousand signatures. Check out her website.
